This project is made possible through the incredible support of municipalities, Business Improvement Associations, businesses, community organizations, artists, donors, and volunteers. Their financial backing, services, and creativity bring these pianos to life.
The Public Piano Project was founded in 2009 and continues to be led by volunteer efforts, supported by personal contributions behind the scenes. This hands-on, community-first approach has helped sustain the initiative and keep it accessible to all.
While many generously donate their time, this is never expected. We believe in fair support for all involved and aim to keep the Public Piano Project a sustainable, not-for-profit initiative that values every contributor.
